As a premier diagnostic laboratory in Lahore, AIMS Diagnostic Center combines cutting-edge histological technology with expert pathologist verification, ensuring dependable results for early cancer detection and complex surgical pathology decisions.
A histopathology biopsy involves examining a small piece of tissue removed from the body under a microscope to detect structural changes, inflammation, benign tumors, or cancer.
Routine biopsy and tissue reports generally take 3 to 5 working days due to necessary fixation, tissue processing, sectioning, and staining steps. Complex cases requiring Immunohistochemistry (IHC) may take additional time.
Cytology examines individual cells or fluid samples (such as FNAC or Pap smears), whereas Histopathology examines intact tissue structure and cellular architecture obtained via surgical biopsy.
IHC uses specialized antibodies to identify specific protein markers on cancer cells, helping pathologists determine the exact origin, type, and subtype of a tumor for targeted therapy.
